Protocols & Procedures:
Note: All policies and procedures to ensure the health and well-being of all individuals are subject to change at the CCRA’s discretion or by coordination with the CDC, state officials and governing bodies.
Social Distancing. All spectators, staff and volunteers are expected to maintain appropriate social distancing at the Carolina Cup. Spectators should avoid others who are not a part of their group by at least six feet and maintain a distance of at least six feet when consuming any food or beverage. While on-site, we also ask that patrons pay attention to any visual indications for directional flow and distancing at the event.
Face Coverings. We encourage the use of masks when unable to social distance and strongly recommend individuals follow requirements, guidelines, and recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, and Executive Orders of the
Governor concerning the use of face coverings.
Prior to Arrival. For the safety of everyone in attendance, those who feel ill of experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should plan not to attend the Carolina Cup. For more information about symptoms, please visit the CDC website.
Signage & Guidelines. Guests will notice increased safety signage around the facility, as well as visual and verbal reminders of safe behavior that must be adhered to while in attendance. Failure to comply with any posted or verbal guidelines may result in consequences, including ejection from the grounds.
Onsite Transactions and Payments. Guests are encouraged to pay for items through card payments or via contact-less transactions to ensure a clean environment.
Jockey/Official Interactions. All direct jockey-spectator interaction is prohibited. For the health and well-being of everyone on-site, no handshakes, fist bumps, or autographs will be permitted and all spectators and volunteers are asked to maintain social distancing between themselves and jockeys/officials.
Sanitation. The Carolina Cup will have enhanced sanitation protocols in place to ensure all areas are routinely cleaned and sanitized. Sanitation and hand washing are encouraged throughout your time on-site. We will have hand sanitizer stations throughout the grounds, but guests are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer from home.
Medical Services//Feeling Ill On-site. If you begin to feel ill on-site, please return home or seek medical attention at the EMS tent located in the infield and designated by signs. Medical professionals will be ready to assist you in accordance with their COVID-19 protocols.

CCRA Health Promise
All spectators, staff and volunteers must understand that they will not attend the Races if any one or more of the following is true on the day of attendance:
- Within the prior 14 days, they have tested positive for, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19,
- Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19,
- They have traveled to any state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19
All spectators, staff and volunteers must understand that they will be subject to ejection and the loss of ticket privileges for following breaches of etiquette:
- Refusal to abide by the CCRA’s mask policy.
- Refusal to abide by the CCRA’s social distancing policies: All spectators, staff and volunteers are expected to maintain appropriate social distancing at the Carolina Cup. Spectators should avoid others who are not a part of their group by at least six feet and maintain a distance of at least six feet when consuming any food or beverage. While on-site, we also ask that patrons pay attention to any visual indications for directional flow and distancing at the event.
Despite measures to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19, elimination of risk of exposure and infection is not currently possible. Therefore, by attending this event, all attendees assume the risk and liability for any exposure to COVID-19 and any related loss, liability or injury at this event at all times.
Rollover & Refund Policy:
Attention: The Rollover/Refund Period is now over!
Due to the evolving outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the decision was made to cancel the upcoming 86th running of the Carolina Cup Races on March 28, 2020. We value the families and many sponsors who have supported this important tradition for decades, and we thank you for your understanding in this time of uncertainty.
Carolina Cup Racing Association ("CCRA") is offering the below options to our patrons which will be available through May 1, 2020. We ask our patrons to please be patient during this process as this is an unprecedented situation.
To rollover your reservation for next year's running of the Carolina Cup Races on May 22, 2021, simply send an email to email@example.com with your first and last name. This will be marked in our system, and you will be mailed your new ticket packet in 2021.
- Forward your order confirmation email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Mail your printed order confirmation or ticket packet to CCRA, PO Box 280, Camden, SC 29021
- Call our office at 803-432-6513, and have your order confirmation number ready to complete the refund process
If you made your purchase via credit card, the refund will be processed back to that card. If you paid via cash or check, you can either elect to have a check mailed to you, or arrange a time to pickup a refund from the CCRA office.
Note: Taxes, service fees and shipping cannot be refunded.
If we do not hear from you by May 1, 2020, your original purchase will be considered a charitable donation to the CCRA 501(c)(4) which we greatly appreciate.
